CH + CS Thanks to all those travellers in space and time that came with us for the Journey from the Georgian Splendour of the Pan Am to the fantastically Futuristic Venue at The Kings Dock Arena!. Crowdies fanatics from all four points of the compass (and Kuwait apparently!) Joined us for two shows, an early acoustic "classics" set and a full blown rock out playing the ones that Neil left out; Hole in the River-Tombstone-Tall Trees! etc Live at the BBC!!! What can I say, if you missed it the first time, then fly this very minute to our myspace and listen again!! The Fiddler-Cleethorpes A brilliant gig organised by Ian Jones at the last minute after "Baileys Live" had a change of policy (no live bands...?) it was a mixed crowd of "faithfuls" and walkins, but we won them over and there was plenty of "I never knew this was a CH song!!" after the gig. Last night saw the most fervent Tambo playing we've ever seen! Nancy not only used her hand and my mike, she also used my head at one point! thanks for the bruise Nancy.
Last
Night at Alexanders

"BBC
Radio Merseyside -Throw Your Arms Around Me"
Thanks
to Billy Butler for playing our version of Mark Seymour's "Throw Your
Arms Around Me" We've had some great feedback from it. It's always been
a much requested song in our live set, but it was strange to hear it
coming from the radio! in the kitchen!!!

"Crowded
Scouse adeptly manage to capture the energy, humour and sound of the "real
thing". Close your eyes and be transported to the stalls of the Liverpool
Empire, or even the steps of Sydney Opera House!

By the Fans For the Fans with the Fans Joe & Mark had been playing in bands together since their teens, and always been Crowdies fans, so it seemed a natural thing when they gave up playing their own material to begin playing acoustic nights as “Crowded Scouse”. They were soon joined by Big Al on guitars and continued as a trio until Vin (a self confessed Finnatic!) who had been to see the Scousers a couple of times, offered his services as Bass player “Oh and I know drummer as well”. Enter Shoeless MJ! The band debuted on one of the main stages of Mathew Street 2003 and then progressed to become regulars on all the major tribute venues up and down the country. There have been a few comings and goings in the guitar dept of CS , and when a free CD was offered on this website, one of the hundreds of people who replied turned out to be a great guitarist and fellow fan Alan Mac (the King!) who has proven to be the final factor that makes the band complete. The great thing about the Scousers is, they are genuine Finn fans, it’s all about playing music they love for other fans, so there are no dodgy accents or wigs! What you do get is great music, with a strong emphasis on fun and audience participation. “Don’t Dream it’s not over” |
